So yesterday I did a quick blog on Keller Williams losing a jurisdictional ruling that may result in it being held liable for calls by its agents under the TCPA.
This is rather interesting news since just last year KW paid $40MM to settle a TCPA suit. Eesh.
Unsurprisingly the story got a ton of traffic–over 11k views so far, which is a pretty good read rate for a legal blog.
Well today someone claiming to be a PR guy for KW reached out to me and asked me to include his statement. His LinkedIn checks out so I am assuming he’s legit. Here’s what he says:
“Keller Williams had no involvement in the alleged calls at the heart of this lawsuit, and as such, we don’t believe the plaintiff has grounds to bring a lawsuit against Keller Williams. This is still an early stage of the legal process, and we are confident in our defense once we have the opportunity to present it.”

So… there you go.
We’ll keep an eye on this.
