NEW SHERIFF: Mark Dobronski Is on a TCPA Role and He Seems to be Headed for Diana Mey Status

I don’t always get along with Mark Dobronski.

There’s been times we have been downright hostile.

And. a few years ago, Dobronski was pretty bad at this whole pro per litigator thing.

But he has really turned things around. He’s become more professional. More cordial And he’s morphing into a talented litigator– which is weird since he doesn’t have a law license.

Let’s take his recent win in Dobronski v. Advisorworld, 2026 WL 905121 (E.D. Mich. March 31, 2026). There he absolutely obliterated a defendant on a motion to dismiss– earning another ruling propping up his questionable caller ID claims and overcoming a robust standing challenge.

Now normally I’d be saying this was #biglaw screwing up again– but it wasn’t #biglaw. And I looked at the docket and I don’t see any real screw ups.

The defense counsel actually did a pretty good job here. Mostly the right arguments. Mostly presented properly (although I would have used a different procedural vehicle for some of this.) But Dobronski just beat them.

Let me say that again– Dobronski is now a talented enough litigator to beat good counsel making good arguments.

That’s actually a little alarming.

Indeed, he’s on an absolute win streak. A pile of rulings in his favor recently.

He’s starting to remind me of Diana Mey, which is a hell of a compliment.

Now Diana started off good. And just sort of got better.

As mentioned Dobronski did not start off good. He started off like a knucklehead. But he is turning it around.

There’s a reason this guy earned an honorable mention on this year’s Top 10 list. Be on the look out for him.
