BREAKING: Fourth Robocall Bill Introduced in Congress

While Congress already has TRACED, Stopping Bad Robocalls Act, and REAL PEACE pending, Rep. Jefferson Van Drew (D. NJ) introduced today a new bill entitled “Robocall Enforcement Enhancement Act” designed to amend the Communications Act and strengthen FCC enforcement capabilities. The Act would:

  • Authorize the FCC to pursue cases against robocall rule violations without first issuing a citation;
  • Increase the statute of limitations for the FCC to pursue spoofing violations from two years to three years; and
  • Increase the statute of limitations for the FCC to pursue robocall violations from one year to three years.
