MIDYEAR LITIGATION REPORT: TCPA Class Actions Up Staggering 95.2% from 2024–Previously the Highest Year On Record

2024 was a record setting year for TCPA litigation with the highest number of class actions filed in a single year ever.

2025 is blowing it out of the water.

To date there have been 1,052 TCPA class actions filed in 2025– compared to just 539 through the same period last year.

That’s a 95.2%.

Every TCPA class action is a potential business killer– with $500.00-$1,500.00 in penalties and a four year statutory look back, TCPA class actions commonly impose billions in potential exposure on businesses.

Very few companies can survive the full brunt of a TCPA class action judgment- and many have gone BK as a result.

  1. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? The fact is that robocalls are up, up, up, so it is logical that there will be a noticeable increase in TCPA cases that follow. The fact is that telemarketers — especially the offshore scumbags — are getting bolder and even more flagrant in their violations of the law. Oh, what a blessedly peaceful world this would be, if sellers/telemarketers would adhere to the R.E.A.C.H. standards.
