Just picked up this interesting complaint against All Web Leads, Inc.
The claim here is that AWL sold leads that lead to two massive TCPA class actions against Liberty Mutual.
Liberty allegedly asked AWL to defend the suits and the AWL allegedly refused to do so.
Apparently Liberty spent $1,359,260.13 defending the suits– which is just nuts (although settlement dollars may be included in that sum, can’t tell).
Pretty obvious undercurrents here:
- Be careful who you are buying leads from;
- AWL allegedly doesn’t stand behind its reps and warranties– is that true? Don’t know. You may want to ask them before buying their leads though; and
- TCPA class action defense can be VERY expensive.

If you’re buying leads be VERY cautious about who you are working with. Consider joining Responsible Enterprises Against Consumer Harassment (R.E.A.C.H.) to discover lead sellers that meet the absolute highest quality standards in the business.
It could save you a million bucks. 🙂

I’m glad to see Liberty Mutual going after these scumbags. Don’t see the owners of the company listed as individual defendants, which means Liberty could waste even more money, only to get to a judgment and then have AWL go bankrupt, per the usual MO – Scumbags gonna scumbag. Also interesting to see it’s been filed in MA. If AWL does show up to defend this suit, it’ll be interesting to see if they’ll be able to get it dismissed for lack of personal jurisdiction. Keep us posted, Czar.
While All Web Leads is a notorious serial violator, I’m not surprised to see them involved in yet another TCPA case. Here’s some examples of them being sued directly:

Plus, this one, resulting in a $6.5 Million settlement against All Web Leads, Inc:

That all said, checking the complaint linked to, WTH is with all the redactions!?!?! Including some dates! There aren’t any National Security concerns involved. We can all read between the lines. Seems a big part of this will hinge on the specific language of the indemnification clauses. Here’s the 2 cases they refer to:

Here’s yet another Liberty case regarding Indemnification resulting from lead vendors; even posted here earlier!

Bottom line is the complete lack of any due diligence on Liberty Mutual behalf when choosing lead gens, can you say PACER boys and girls?!
