Isn’t it beautiful?
I kind of feel bad for Dave Min.
Imagine being the poor first-term congressman in a swing district that has to run against the Czar for Congress.
I mean the guy is arguably the weakest member of the weakest party in Congressional history– and he has to run against one of the strongest candidates American politics has ever seen.
Me.
The Czar.
Eric J. Troutman.
One of the most prominent litigators on the planet.
Ugh.
I am so overqualified for this.
But that is precisely the sort of sentiment we all must overcome if we’re going to save this nation.
We need the (over)qualified people running for Congress instead of all the losers and nobodies we get stuck with. Because they just end up being puppets for party leaders who engage in brutal gang warfare in Washington.
Not good.
So to put an end to all the nonsense I am officially announcing today I will be running for Congress in California’s 47th Congressional district.
Running for lots of reasons. You already know them. You can view my launch video below if you need a reminder:
Importantly– don’t worry wonderful clients of mine I will NOT take my eye off the ball. I can whip the political world into a frenzy in just an hour or two a day which will leave me 16 or so hours a day to work on your stuff still. 🙂
Plus I won’t say anything stupid or embarrassing–I mean, no more so than usual–so don’t worry.
In all seriousness, the campaign WILL NOT impact Troutman Amin, LLP or our legal practice so please feel confident to continue sending us cases and matters and you will find me as engaged and responsive as ever before.
So how can you help?

- Contribute to the campaign (coming soon). I am personally dumping over $200k into this grand little effort to save the nation so I am hoping all of you can toss in $200.00 or so– but I will certainly be looking for max contributions from as many of you that can afford it (that’s $7k per person, $14k per couple–small price to pay to get this country back on track–especially since I am doing all the heavy lifting here!)
- Volunteer (coming soon).
- RUN FOR OFFICE YOURSELF!
This last one is important.
This campaign is less about what I personally can do for the nation–I mean, I can do a ton but I’m still just one dude– but more about creating a movement where QUALIFIED INTELLIGENT PEOPLE run for office instead of the losers and not-so-bright people we are stuck with currently.
And I get it, qualified intelligent people won’t be puppets for the parties– so we will end the party system. (I’ll handle that part.)
And I get it, qualified intelligent people won’t work for the low salaries paid to lawmakers– so we will raise Congressional pay rates massively. (I’ll handle that part too.)
And qualified intelligent people HATE chasing votes and bragging about themselves and all that–but look, YOU have to handle that part.
The price good men pay for refusing to lower themselves to politics is to be ruled over by evil men.
Its a price too many of us have been willing to pay for too long.
I’m going to show you that a good person can go to battle and win as an INDEPENDENT and actually serve the people the way the government was SUPPOSED TO WORK.
And you all know when I say those words, I mean them.
Going to hand you the playbook.
Because America Deserves to Win.
Pretty good slogan eh?
Oh and I have a new logo.
Check it out:

Pretty cool, eh?
Not sure why I said “eh” twice right there, I’m not turning Canadian I promise.
Ok so let’s rock and roll and have some fun.
Visit TroutmanForAmerica.com and use hashtags: #votefortheczar and #voteforthelion on social media.
Oh and for the Dave Min guys– he can drop out and join my campaign anytime. He cannot possibly beat me. Literally impossible.
Have him debate me one time first and you’ll see just how hopeless it is. I’ll even wear my top hat and coat to make it easier on him.
Any time, any place!
Thanks. 🙂

He candidate “Bill of Rights”… not sure if you are aware but one of those rights is freedom of speech:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech
I think its towards the top of that rights list thing. What that means is government can not punish someone for speech and it turns out telling a lie is usually covered. You may not like it when politicians lie, I know I do not but here is the rub, what is and is not a lie and who determines that? Yes I know that whole freedom thing is not absolute, you can not yell fire in a crowded theater or lie under oath but good luck with the inevitable parsing of words. To quote a former commander in chief, “It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is”.
Lies are not protected by the first amendment.
Back to our former commander in chief… “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms Lewinsky”. https://youtu.be/luLpdr4n8m4?si=YBLWIOLKKjR-ldQX&t=65 What government punishment did or could he receive for that lie? None. Let’s be clear, that specific statement made to the public and not under oath, which was clearly a lie was not punishable by the government.
