WOAH!: TCPA Class Actions Just Spiked 283% in September, 2025– and This Out of Control

Small businesses are getting picked apart as Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) class actions continue to clog federal courts.

The TCPA allows consumers to collect up to $500.00 per call or text for illegal communications from businesses– but those damages are often aggregated into class actions by lawyers hungry for a multi-million dollar payday.

Some of the richest and most sophisticated lawyers in the nation are bringing (and defending) TCPA class action suits, with potential exposure that often exceeds a billion dollars.

Even large companies cannot sustain the massive shock of a TCPA class action judgment– and no other lawsuit is more likely to drive a small business out of business.

2024 saw the highest count of TCPA class action lawsuit filings in history– but the numbers in 2025 are simply staggering.

Through end of August, 2025 TCPA class action suits were up over 90% from last year.

But the numbers in September are simply mind blogging.

There were 224 TCPA class actions filed in September, 2025 alone– this compares to a relatively tame 79 class actions filed in 2024.

This amounts to a 283% increase in class actions in September.

1,636 vs. 800– which means TCPA class action filings more than doubled year to date!

  1. Good, Hopefully the lawsuits keep climbing. I am tired of getting 25+ calls every single day when I am on National and state DNC lists and I have requested to be put on their DNC over a hundred times. But it doesnt matter because they are illegally using autodialers and have no control over who is called.
    Thankfully I have most of them documented for when I file my own class action sometime next month.
