If you read this blog you know #BigLaw firms are constantly getting destroyed in TCPA cases.
You might wonder why that is.
Its because the TCPAWorld is so complex, fast moving, high-stakes and sophisticated that only the GREATEST LAWYERS IN AMERICA can succeed in this space.
And those lawyers don’t last very long in #biglaw– which is designed to maximize profits over skills/results.
But law firms like Bursor & Fisher– a TCPA Plaintiff’s firm– attract the best talent in the country and pay accordingly.
They are handing out annual bonuses as high as $770,000.00 this year!
HOLY INSANITY.
That blows #biglaw pay completely out of the water.
Couple of lessons from this:
- I am on the wrong side of the law. The Plaintiff’s bar makes WAY WAY WAY more money than we do on the defense side. But I’d still rather protect and guide businesses rather than rob them for large sums of money in lawsuits;
- Big law firms are not going to stand a chance in this incredibly sophisticated area of law when there are sharks like Bursor & Fisher (and many others) patrolling these waters; and
- The wonderful lawyers at Troutman Amin, LLP– who get paid very well but not THAT well– should be praised for being perhaps the only DEFENSE side lawyers who can stand up to these guys and who are sacrificing big dough for their principles.
Speaking of Troutman Amin, LLP– our rates rise January 1, 2026. So get it now and save a ton!

So, is the takeaway here that your hourly rate of $6000/hour is “chump change”?
Speaking of guidance for your clients, did you tell them to have their suppliers buy those peaky risky warm transfers in order to schedule appointments on their behalf? Brilliant!
I’ll still add it to my case though.
