TOO MANY CASES?: Case Filed by Mass Volume TCPA Law Firm Dismissed For Failure to Prosecute

A case filed by one of the most prolific TCPA attorneys in the nation– Jibreal Hindi–was just dismissed here in California for lack of prosecution.

It begs the question– does the guy have too many cases to keep track of?

Hindi has famously filed hundreds of TCPA cases in the last year primarily focused on SMS messages sent outside of the TCPA’s time limitations.

Well in Bianca Johnston v. Bur Bur Care LLC 2026 WL 242028 (C.D. Cal. Jan. 20, 2026) the court tossed a case after Hindi’s office failed to move it forward in accordance with local rules.

The court issued an order to show cause that was apparently not responded to. As a result the court dismissed the case.

The dismissal was without prejudice so perhaps the case will be back. We’ll see.
