The FCC has issued two potentially MASSIVE NPRMs that could upend calling practices in the U.S.
First, the Commission is looking at cracking down on foreign call centers– including potential requirements that consumers be notified before a call is routed to–or made from– an offshore call center. Other possibilities include a volume limitation or training requirements.
The FCC may also ban the use of number rotation by call centers– potentially forcing callers to live with carrier mislabeling or else to opt for expensive white-label branded Caller ID solutions.
