Big event. Small picture.
So last week I launched a cool naming contest for our huge compliance sin city shindig and received a bunch of votes.
Interestingly the Great Vegas Compliance Riot came out on top. But I was reminded that using the word “riot”–even in a clearly ironic way–was a bit tone deaf given that, you know, riots are almost always a bad thing. Unless its a laugh riot. Or a Cha riot.
Anyhoo, we’re going to use the word “Palooza” instead, mostly in a bid to get some defunct music festival to sue us as a publicity stunt–I’m kidding, I think–but also to call to mind the rockstar nature of our panelists. And they really are rockstars.
The details are these:
Caesar’s Palace. July 22, 23, 2021. It will be a cloudy 78 degrees, I assume.
Vegas attire encouraged. I’ll be wearing a top hat. But then I always wear a top hat.
Proof.
Two days of awesome compliance and CID information with a live bar and entertainment and, apparently, I’m doing car bombs (unless I have to choose a more mildly named beverage?) during the last session.
And we expect CLE credit will be available.
But in seriousness this thing will be extremely valuable. More information available soon.
