So just got done recording an incredibly awesome podcast episode with Jay Edelson joining us. The guy is just brilliant. But everyone knows that already.
I think people–including me–fail to realize just how brilliant Queenie (Puja Amin) and the Baroness (Brit Andres) are though. Man did they really show off today. I was the weakest link on today’s show. So fortunate to get to work with them all the time (and you too Wizard!!)
We discussed Dobbs. Yes the big Roe killer that everyone on the planet is talking about. Except Big Law. They’re absolutely silent on it.
That’s a real shame.
Meant so much to me today when Brit began her comments on Dobbs by thanking me for giving her the opportunity to share her opinion. As she pointed out basically any other firm would have silenced her and not let her voice be heard on any firm-authorized outreach.
Something really sad about that. Big firms are just now getting around to treating women as equal partners (finally) and yet when they lose an important right women lawyers still find themselves muzzled by their employers. That’s just icky.
Anyhoo, this was a remarkably powerful episode. Should drop next week. More on that to come…
Then I was goofing off getting ready for the big Summit on the 18th and 19th. Really can’t wait for that. If you haven’t seen it, here’s my teaser:
Here’s my cool Troutman Firm photo backdrop thing and my new Yeti mugs (how awesome is this?!)
Attendees at the summit will have a chance to win a super rare yellow Troutman Firm Yeti–worth millions I assume–and everyone will receive a Troutman Firm t-shirt, hat, and tons of other awesome stuff in my swag bag!
But most importantly they’ll get a copy of my 2022 TCPA Review. And that thing is literally worth its weight in gold.
You can still register for the summit here if you want. July 18 and 19 in gorgeous Huntington Beach, California.
So yeah, I get to collaborate with brilliant and talented (and thoughtful and powerful) people, handling incredibly meaningful and important cases, while sharing critical information with my legions of fans in fun formats like podcasts, blog posts and conferences.
And I call this “work.”
Yeah, I literally am the luckiest guy in the world.
Thanks all for being part of it.
