YEAR END SPRINT STARTS NOW: Here’s the Deal on Year End Review Advertisements, R.E.A.C.H., the BIG Troutman Firm Holiday Party and Other FUN (IMPORTANT)Stuff

Hi folks

So I just sent around an email to a couple thousand of my closest friends. But I really want to make sure everybody hears about their ONE AND ONLY chance to advertise in next year’s 2023 TCPA Review.

As everyone knows, the Czar does not to endorsement deals and does not allow any advertisements on TCPAWorld. Zero. Zip. Zilch. (And I’ve turned down some BIG checks–trust me.)

But I allowing one–and ONLY one–opportunity for brands to hitch themselves to the powerful TCPAWorld brand–advertising in the TCPA Review.

In fact, one company will get the bragging rights of having a “presented by” tag assigned to the Review and get mentioned favorably every single time I speak next year and mention the review. So.. yeah… pretty big opportunity.

I know you all already know about the review but–as a reminder–it is a wonderful compendium where I break down every key TCPA case (hundreds) from the year before. Everybody reads this thing and everybody loves it. And why not? I break down hundreds of TCPA cases and categorize and explain them-while breaking down major trends along the way. And I do it all myself—as in personally. So you are really getting the Czar’s personal analysis and perspective on EVERYTHING you need to know about the TCPAWorld. This thing is priceless.

For the last couple of years I have opened up advertising spots for a handful of selected companies that I thought would be a good fit for the brand. This year I am going to open it up to EVERYBODY who wants a chance to bid. So this is your ONE AND ONLY chance to advise whether your company is interested in submitting a bid to advertise in the TCPA Year End Review for 2023. I have a tight timetable set up—everything needs to be at the printer by December 14, 2022 since we will be unveiling the review at Lead Generation World on January 8, 2023!

If you have questions about the review or would like to be on the “bid list” please let me know right away. I will be sending out final bid information/instructions next week but only to those who request information this week. So don’t sleep on this fun opportunity. 😊

Next, I know EVERYBODY is percolating about R.E.A.C.H. To say that anticipation has reached a fever pitch is a bit of an understatement. I’ve already answered a few of you who asked whether you could serve on the board even if you are already on the board of another Trade and the answer is “yes.” I will be looking to fill 30 board seats in the next 30 days—with at least half of those filled by direct-to-consumer marketers that buy leads. As I hope everyone receiving this email already knows the purpose of R.E.A.C.H. is to create business-lead initiates that assure lead fraud is stamped out and that consumers are meaningfully empowered to prevent unwanted robocalls with the ultimate goal of: i) ending the carrier’s restrictive call blocking regimes; ii) obtaining breathing space from the regulators; iii) increasing contact rates; and iv) assuring a profitable and sustainable direct-to-consumer marketing industry uninhibited by abusive lawsuits. Out stated objective is to stop 1BB unwanted robocalls a month. Official board invite emails go out next Monday, November 13, 2022.

I have been keeping track of all of you who have already asked to be on the board—you WILL receive an email. If any of you are interested and have not reached out let me know right away please. And, of course, I encourage all of your institutions to become MEMBERS of R.E.A.C.H.—even if you are not on the board. REACH membership will send a strong message to the industry—and regulators—that your institution is a Czar-approved GOOD ACTOR that is dedicated to preventing consumer harassment. Plus membership dues will be LOW—about 10% the cost of the other Trades. (And Troutman Firm will be DONATING a ton of time to advance important legal initiatives approved by the R.E.A.C.H. Board!)

One other update—and the funnest (why isn’t that a word?) one of all: Troutman Firm’s 2022 Holiday Party is officially set for December 19, 2022 at Maple and Ash in Scottsdale, AZ.

A number of you have already received invites—obviously we’re not just going to party on our own (how boring). If you are interested in attending the shindig—which will obviously include the entire TCPAWorld team– please reach out and let me know. We have a handful (and I do mean a handful) of spots available. Priority will obviously be given to Firm clients first, and R.E.A.C.H. board members second but I do encourage everyone to who is interested to reach out. If nothing else it will help us gameplan for next year in terms of demand.

Also, I apologize for the long delay releasing Deserve to Win (Ep. 6) with Josh Swigart—our CIPA Special Episode—but I promise it will be out in the next couple of weeks. We also just recorded Deserve to Win (Ep. 7) with Tom Alvord from LawHQ (TCPAWorld’s own Dr. Evil!) that will be out shortly as well.
