THIS IS WHAT YOUR PRIVACY IS WORTH: More Political Robocalls Headed Your Way As Katie Porter Sells Her Donor List to be BLASTED With Political Messages

Ever wonder what your privacy is worth?

Well for those of you who wind up on political donor lists, it is not much.

For instance, Democrat Katie Porter–who is launching a lackluster bid to be a Senator in California–is SELLING HER ENTIRE LIST of supporter phone numbers to raise money, per Politico.

Katie Porter is selling your data?

Can you imagine that? how disgusting.

You give your hard earned money and support to a candidate, who takes your money, adds your number to a list, and then SELLS YOUR DATA to someone else.

To who?

No one knows–who ever will pay apparently!

And look at these prices:

They are charging $.65 per donor and $.13 for nondonors on the list. Donors who have clicked and opened a solicitation are priced at $.85 apiece while people who have clicked and opened a fundraising pitch but not donated are $.25 each.

Phone numbers are $.45 for donors and $.08 for nondonors.

Your dignity is worth a MAXIMUM of 85 cents and as little as 8 cents.

So enraging.

THIS is why you receive so many political messages you never asked for.

And yes I am picking on Katie but she’s not alone. So many candidates from BOTH PARTIES do this sort of thing. Absolutely nasty.

My advice? NEVER give to a candidate’s campaign–especially if they are with a major party. They will backstab you and sell your data as quick as they will backstab you for what their party leaders tell them to do. Bunch of puppets.

The worst part though is that Porter literally bills herself as someone who tries to protect consumers and their privacy. I mean… MY GOODNESS such hypocrisy.

I will be running in 2026– you have my word. And you will see NONE OF THIS from my campaign. I will clean up all of this nonsense. I promise.

For now, though, brace yourselves. Especially Democratic donors in California (Orange County). Your data just hit the market.

  1. I guess I’m about to be called by more candidates then, sounds like I’m worth at 85 cents… and some would say nothing more. 🙂

  2. So, Czar, how many of the folks that buy Katie Porter’s donor lists and get slapped with TCPA lawsuits by fed up consumers who get robocalled as a result will you be defending? And, please enlighten us. What public office do you plan to run for in 2026?

  3. The answer to your TCPA question is zero. Even if they fail to follow the rules they are allowed to trounce all over your privacy hence why unless we all make that change happen, it won’t. I recently not only stated stop(supposedly the sure fire way to stop spam. Nope, that failed like efforts to protect our data they charge additionally for, only to offer 24 months of credit monitoring when they fail. After I sent back stop, I reported the activity to SPAM the short code you are told to report to by the fcc. Wait, reporting not managed by the FCC? Who in the world did they trust dealing with reports on spam then? Oh, the same carriers that still allow what I as a consumer said no more too. State run telecom or as close to it as possible it seems. Wake up America, you’re sleep at the wheel. TAKE BACK YOUR IDENTITY AND RIGHTS!!!!
