two years ago today I opened Troutman Firm.

4/29/22

All alone.

Just me.

The Baroness would start a bit later– on May 9.

Puja was behind me the whole time though. So was Pj (the Wizard.)

But as I fired up the laptop–this laptop–April 29, 2022 and set to work, I was a law firm of one man.

$1,000.00 was my marketing budget.

Not $1,000.00 a month. $1,000.00 total.

Firm paid for out of my savings. I was terribly afraid I wouldnt last long…

Two years later.

12 of us. Cases across the country. Hundreds of clients. A YouTube channel that crushes biglaw. A trade organization. Beautiful office. A magazine. Ads running all over Orange County. Our own conference. The best swag out there.

And so so so many friends.

Seemingly impossible. But here we are.

Troutman Amin, LLP celebrates its one year on May 1. We’ll get there.

But for today I want to remember Troutman Firm…little ole me.

And send just a personal thank you to everyone who helped lay the foundation for everything we are now.
