SUCCESS!!: Robocalls Down 15% In June Over Last Year As R.E.A.C.H.’s Efforts Stop Unwanted Calls!

730MM less robocalls year over year.

That’s just for the month of June!

And there is no question the incredible work of Responsible Enterprises Against Consumer Harassment (R.E.A.C.H.) is delivering the massive downward shift in unwanted calls.

Per YouMail’s robocall index, Robocalls in June, 2023 totaled 4,858,343,400, this year they were down to 4,126,602,800 a drop of over 730MM calls–and a massive 15% dip.

Now you all remember that I promised I would stop 1BB unwanted calls a month when I started R.E.A.C.H.

You’re welcome America.

I told you it would take time–but it has worked. And it was done WITHOUT any government interference (the FCC’s new one to one rule isn’t in effect yet, so THAT couldn’t have done it.) Instead it was R.E.A.C.H.’s focus on cleaning up the lead generation industry–preventing fraud, dark patterns and setting standards for disclosures–that has lead the way and resulted in a massive reduction in unwanted calls.

Hey, Czar, while I am not willing to agree that either R.E.A.C.H. or you deserve any credit for the minor dip in robocalls this year to date versus same period last year, I am willing to concede that R.E.A.C.H. and you do deserve some kudos toward that reduction… and I say, THANK YOU! I also agree with your “gross” comment about those lawyers who aid, abet, and profit from the robocallers; sadly, some “big law” firms have low ethical standards! I deposed a “VP of Compliance” for an insurance producer, and asked if his entity adheres to the R.E.A.C.H. standards, and he claimed to not know what they were — and, the guy happened to be a former client of yours. The guy also had no grasp of the TCPA regulations, either. (Now, I think I know why he is a former client.) Anxiously waiting to read the revised R.E.A.C.H. standards which you have hinted are forthcoming. Keep up the good work!
