We’ve been covering the exploits of the legendary Michael Greenwald— known in TCPA circles as “Mr. Number One” for his perennial placement atop the TCPAWorld.com power rankings of most-feared Plaintiff’s lawyers.

Just this week I did an article on another $3.5MM settlement he obtained against United Healthgroup. 

Well today his firm issued a press release tallying up all of his recent TCPA settlements– $55MM in recovery in just the last six months.

That means his firm has collected something in the order of $18.333 MM in attorneys fees since August, 2024.

My goodness.

No wonder plaintiff’s lawyers that do TCPA work are amongst the highest paid in the world.

GREENWALD DAVIDSON RADBIL PLLC SECURES ANOTHER $55 MILLION IN SETTLEMENTS FOR CONSUMERS WHO RECEIVED UNWANTED ROBOCALLS

BOCA RATON, Fla., Feb. 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Greenwald Davidson Radbil PLLC, a boutique class action law firm based in Boca Raton and Austin, recovered more than $55 million in the past six months for consumers who received unwanted robocalls.

These recoveries stem from settlements in five separate class action lawsuits alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act against a large financial institution ($29.5 million), an insurance technology company ($21.875 million), a health insurance company ($3.495 million), a financial services company ($1.5 million), and a debt collector ($850,000).

In some of these cases, participating settlement class members stand to receive thousands of dollars each.

The plaintiffs in each lawsuit allege violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act arising from prerecorded calls placed to the cellular telephones of persons with no relationship to the caller. These include debt collection robocalls concerning debts the plaintiffs do not owe, solicitation calls the plaintiffs did not request, and calls where a company delivered prerecorded messages intended for people the plaintiffs did not know.

In addition to being an invasion of privacy, an aggravation, and an annoyance, unwanted robocalls seeking money from those who do not owe anything can lead to additional harms, including financial loss.

In some circumstances the Telephone Consumer Protection Act allows for recoveries of $500–$1,500 per violation.

Greenwald Davidson Radbil PLLC has served as court-appointed Class Counsel or co-Class Counsel in Telephone Consumer Protection Act class actions resulting in the recovery of more than $185 million in total for aggrieved consumers.

In addition, the firm has resolved a number of class actions over improper debt collection practices and class actions involving the theft of sensitive, private consumer information.

Look, these guys are impressive lawyers. They are VERY good at what they do. And make no mistake, if you make wrong number pre-recorded, artificial voice or AI voice calls they may knock on your door one day.
