So last week we went to Chicago to attend Connect (X).

That’s the big Wireless Infrastructure Association annual event.

Met with a TON of folks in the wireless infrastructure game. Folks that build and own the towers and cables and fiber and, well, infrastructure that our telecom networks run on.

We went as novices, folks who know very little about the block and tackle of the brick and mortar of telecom. And we learned a TON.

We came humble. Paid tribute to the men and women that built the infrastructure of our country’s wireless network.

Gave away about $15k in free shirts and hats and stickers and fun stuff.

Why’d we do it?

Because we’re the best telecom lawyers in the nation.

And you can’t be the best unless you UNDERSTAND the entirety of telecom.

Do you know who these people are?
We currently represent the USERS of the network.

Complete visibility in terms of everything they do, all their practices, the carriers, call centers, platforms, dialers, data brokers, lead sellers, aggregators, generators, networks, publishers, form fillers, widgets, coreg, data miners, lead managers, SaaS, CRMs… ALL OF IT.

But when it comes to the physical STUFF these users use, well…. don’t know much.

But we learned.

The head of sales of one of the largest tower owners in the world gave me a 45 minute tutorial on how the nation’s wireless telecom infrastructure was built.

What each of the 5gs, actually means.

What 6g will look like.

Why starlink means, or doesn’t mean.

I learned how to build a tower. From the ground up. ALL of it. From the fiber, to the pole, to the trellis, to the antenna, to the power sources, to the cable, to the sheds.

All of it.

We learned why “the speed of light isn’t fast enough.”

We learned more in 48 hours than I have in the last 10 years.
And made friends for life.
Just a fact.
But why?
Because we want to be the best. And to be the best, you have to understand EVERYTHING.
360 degrees.
No angle left unviewed.
And when you come with an open heart and an open mind people will share so much with you.
Just as we will share so much with them.
Love you all.
