REVENGE OF THE ROBOCALLS: June Robocall Numbers Jump Again as Industry Efforts to Stop Unwanted Calls Flat Fail

The CEO of Telnyx David Casem recently posted on LinkedIn that his own number was bring labeled as spam.

And I daily receive complaints from clients that aggregators and carriers are blocking their calls or mislabeling them.

Yet robocalls are still on the rise.

Its almost as if legitimate businesses are being targeted to force them into pricey remediation solutions while scammers are allowed to carry on about their offshore ways.

Hmmm…

Regardless, robocalls are UP again in June, 2025. Over 300MM more calls this year than in last June.

That’s awful.

Even worse this is now the NINTH consecutive month robocalls have been up year over year.

Just a disaster considering all the hard work everyone is putting in here.

Per the YouMail Robocall Index fully 36% of these calls are telemarketing. So 1.6BB telemarketing calls in June, 2025.

Just nuts.

  1. And you complain that the number of TCPA lawsuits is up? What shocks me is that the number of TCPA lawsuits has not increased in proportion to the gigantic increase in robocalls. The bad actors out there are getting bolder and bolder, and “legitimate” businesses are hiring these bad actors, hiding behind their anonymity, and playing “ostrich” to the facts of life as to what is really going on.
