CRITICAL WEBINAR ANNOUNCMENT: FTC CRUSHES Insurance Lead Generators for $145MM in Penalties and Everyone in the Industry is Impacted—Everything You Need to Know Right Now

Trump’s FTC just declared war on the lead generation industry.

It has publicly stated reining in lead generators is amongst the agency’s top enforcement priorities. And it demonstrate that reality with two stunning consent decrees against Assurance IQ and Media Alpha.

DEEP DIVE: FTC Hits Insurance Lead Generators with $145MM in Penalty– And there are Two Major Lessons Here

These two companies—represented by #biglaw firms that obviously don’t know how the industry works—just agreed to pay millions of dollars in penalties AND agreed to consent orders that give away control over large amounts of their business operations, accepting unnecessary standards and oversight that will damage operations for years to come.

Crazy these companies didn’t consult with me. I could have saved them tens of millions of dollars AND pushed back on these non-monetary terms (IMO). All with a few hours of work.

But se la vi.

They went with #biglaw and they got their results.

Unfortunately there is going to be backlash on the entire industry now. Some of the provisions of the orders will impact third-party partners, requiring massive shifts in how consent is gathered and data sets are shared.

There is no question this is just the beginning.

While the FCC tried (and failed) to change the industry with one-to-one consent, the FTC looks to be here to finish the job leveraging the TSR. (If you aren’t looking for the safety of R.E.A.C.H. right now you really don’t get it…)

Join the industry’s most trusted attorneys—”Queenie” Puja J. Amin and the “Czar” Eric J. Troutman—as they break down these incredibly important developments and what it means for the industry as a whole in a new FREE (for 500 people) webinar this Thursday.

Find out:

  1. What did Assurance and Media Alpha actually do wrong?
  2. Why did they reach a stunning $145MM in monetary penalties?
  3. Why did the FTC target these companies– and who might be next?
  4. What STUNNING non-monetary terms these companies agreed to; and
  5. How YOUR company might be impacted.

Its going to be a hell of a webinar and one lead generators simply cannot afford to miss.

And, of course, it all leads up to the big show- -Contact.io– where the Troutman Amin, LLP stage will be BACK and the Czar will be providing a critical breakdown on everything you need to know on the TCPA right now!

But for now– attend the big webinar set for Thursday August 14, 2025 at 11 am pacific.

  1. So besides the fact they used Floyd (the serial domestic abuser) Maywether as one celebrity endorsement (that in itself is a MASSIVE RED FLAG to anyone that researches before purchasing) See my comments: https://tcpaworld.com/2025/08/11/deep-dive-ftc-hits-insurance-lead-generators-with-145mm-in-penalty-and-there-are-two-major-lessons-here/

    Now lets do some math…

They paid more than $100 MILLION in commissions/bonuses on a $29/mo sale!?!?!?

So just how much did their so-called ‘insurance’ plan actually cost??

This all raises red flags to the MAX but preying on elderly with misrepresentations and outright lies is how they did it…

I sure hope you build on the facts rather than a ‘oh poor victimized legit small business’ position often seen here…

Yeah, there really are ‘bad players’ (again my diplomacy for the faint at heart) and while I’m sure there are many valid points you’ll both make in the webinar I’ll be interested to see how you present it…
