BET ON IT?: So Apparently There’s a Prediction Market Bet On Whether Eric Troutman Will Advance in the June Primary for California Congressional District 47…

Coinbase has a chinese language site that is apparently allowing folks to bet on whether I make it past the June primary.

Presently it has Jenny at an 82% chance of advancing and me at a 26% chance, which is weird because that ads up to 108% without taking into account other candidates. Hahahha

But bottom line if you want to place a bet on whether or not I advance (or not) you are apparently able to do that.

Not encouraging anyone to do this but this is the first time I have been listed on any prediction market that I am aware of so…. cool, I guess?

  1. In many states, it is a crime to bet on the outcome of an election, and I thought that California was one of them. But you mention a Chinese web site. So, is this just another example of illegal offshore activity aimed at U.S. consumers?
