FINAL TOWNHALL POLL: Troutman Leads California Congressional District 47 Race With 54% Support- Dave Min Distant Second

With just days before the election, the Troutman For America campaign received the strongest signal yet that Independent Congressional candidate Eric Troutman is headed for a massive win in California’s 47th Congressional District in the June 2, 2026 primary.

In a townhall attended by over 20,000 people today Troutman won a townhall poll with a full 54% of support— enough to assure a resounding primary victory if the results hold.

Dave Min– the Democratic incumbent– came in second nearly 20 points behind Troutman at 35% support.  No other candidate had over 10%.

You can watch the poll results here at the 7:45 mark.

“I told the other candidates from the start– drop out! But they didn’t listen.” Troutman says. “I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of my own dollars to win this seat– I am in nobody’s pocket. I am here to serve the people and the people are DONE with the political parties. They know Troutman is here to serve them.”

Troutman is betting heavy on an overwhelming Independent turnout and has dubbed June 2, 2026 to be “Independent’s Day” on his popular blog AmericaDeservesToWin.com.

“If Independents turn out and vote faithfully for the no party preference candidate– we win.” Troutman says. “If they sit on their hands or throw their vote away on a Republican–who could never win the seat– then we’re in for 2 more years of Min representing the district.”

Operating in his favor is the perception by many Republicans that they are locked out of the district after Prop 50— meaning a vote for a Republican (like Jenny Rae Le Roux or Michael Maxsenti) is a wasted vote.

“Republicans in in this district are very smart. They know a vote for Jenny or Michael is throwing their vote in the trash. They’re just throwing their vote away.” Troutman says. “SMART Republicans are backing Troutman by the barrelful– and the poll bears that out.”

On the other hand, Democrats too are collapsing into Troutman’s camp recognizing he will be far stronger in opposing Trump on issues damaging to California than Dave Min.

“Democrats here are very smart. They know I’m a fierce and tough lawyer that would never get pushed around the way Trump pushes weak Dave Min around.” Troutman says. “Plus they figure if they vote for me they can probably block Republicans from being on the ballot— which is actually true.”

Troutman has considerably outspent his rivals having raised over $350,000.00– leading all contenders other than incumbent Dave Min.

“Look this is going to be close, so we need all the Troutmaniacs out there to turn out and vote!” Troutman says. “They’ve been fabulous on social media and putting up all those signs and the big banners on the overpass and all, but ultimately we need voters!”

Troutman’s campaign has focused on several key issues in the final days:

  1. Protecting constitutional rights following major attacks on the First Amendment by sitting FCC Chairman;
  2. Ending political violence caused by the political parties and their endless efforts to keep Americans hating each other;
  3. Ending the wars and preventing a potential military draft;
  4. Protecting small businesses and families; and
  5. Stopping robocalls.

On the poll results Troutman has positioned himself as the new leader.

“We went from underdog to frontrunner in just a few months.” Troutman says. “Can’t wait to see the final numbers and see how big this WIN really is for all of us. So much momentum. The other campaigns are basically giving up. It appears Troutman has this is in the bag. ”

He is encouraging members of all parties to join his movement.

“I don’t care if you’re red, blue, left, right, LGBQ, MAGA, purple, upside down, inside out, or sideways– if you’re a lawful registered voter, we want you in our movement” Troutman concludes. “We’re here to represent ALL Americans according to our traditions, principles and constitution. Because America Deserves to Win!”
