APRIL TCPA FILINGS OFF THE CHART: 330 TCPA Cases– 255 TCPA Class Actions–Filed in April, 2026 (Up 40% from 2025!)

April showers may bring May flowers but April, 2026 brought showers of TCPA lawsuits that are unlike to bloom into anything pretty.

Numbers from R.E.A.C.H. member Webrecon show a total of 330 TCPA cases and 255 Class Actions filed in April, 2026. This is a 40% increase in overall TCPA filings from last April and a 38.5% increase in TCPA class actions! April’s TCPA class action filing count is also an overall monthly record– the single most TCPA class actions filed in a month to date.

Through April, 2026 there were a total of 856 TCPA class actions filed compared to 691 through April, 2025– an increase of 23% YoY.

Adding to the headache for American businesses, WebRecon’s numbers also confirm FDCPA and FCRA cases rose for the month with FRCA filings up an inane 60.7% year over year!

It has never been a better time to be a Plaintiff’s lawyer it seems. And whether the filings of these suits are being driven by AI is yet to be seen but the results for America business is clear– make sure you are complying with these statutes or face serious litigation risk!
