AVOID THE SLOP: The Best Stop Spam Calls Act (H.R. 10610) Discussion is On Deserve to Win Ep. 54 With Steve Kaplan

Seeing a ton of AI slop articles on the Stop Spam Calls Act (H.R. 10610)– the bill that would bring back one-to-one consent.

Of course TCPAWorld broke the news about the bill and since then several other law firms and sources have issued articles– some of them seethingly inaccurate– relying on GenAi.

Such a mess.

If you want the real scoop on the bill– including industry’s ongoing responsive efforts– you should join R.E.A.C.H. and attend our monthly meetings where we roundtable and deep dive these issues (next meeting November 6, 2026).

But for a really good (and reliable) discussion of the bill you should check out Deserve to Win 54 with Steve Kaplan where we discuss the bill, the background, and its potential impact on the industry.

Remember this?

And you know you can rely on it because– WE WERE LITERALLY THERE at the FCC the day the one-to-one rule was stayed and fought every inch of the battle to dismantle it.

And with R.E.A.C.H. behind us– we will do it again. And that’s exactly what Kaplan discusses with us.

We weren’t alone in that effort, of course, but be cautious of those discussing it now with no context and no history (especially those using GenAI to try to fill in the gap.) Not reliable sources.

Be smart.
