UPDATED: TCPA Czar Joins NPR to Discuss TCPA, TRACED and Why We’ll Never Solve the Robocall Problem Relying on Old/Bad Laws (W/ PICS!)

It takes a lot to get the Czar out of the world-renown Squire Patton Boggs Podcast Studio 8H, but the chance to appear before a national audience on NPR’s On Point was too good to pass up, even on Christmas Eve. And he did not disappoint. We laughed, we cried, it made us think.

But for those of you who missed the live performance, you can catch it On Demand, here: https://www.wbur.org/onpoint/2019/12/24/hello-attention-this-is-our-show-on-robocalls-dont-hang-up

The Czar did all he could to emphasize why the TCPA–the foundation upon which TRACED is built–is a mess and until that statute gets fixed there will never be a legislative fix to the robocall epidemic. Bottom line--legitimate American businesses are not the problem and the TCPA does nothing to combat true robocalls.

And we’ll never solve the robocall problem relying on an “ancient” and “bad” law like the TCPA.

Trust us, this is a show that you do not want to miss!
