So in the wake of the huge FTC robocall sweep last month everybody is asking the same thing– what is a Consent Farm and how can I avoid being deemed one?

For those who haven’t heard, the FTC and the DOJ are coming hard after lead generators that engage in certain unsavory practices, deeming them “consent farms.” Fluent was already on the wrong side of the sting and others are rumored to be in the crosshairs of the agency.

Those following the R.E.A.C.H. standards can’t ever be called a “consent farm!”

Obviously nobody meeting the R.E.A.C.H. standards will ever be deemed a consent farm– way too transparent and consumer-friendly–but non-R.E.A.C.H. members have A LOT to be concerned about right now as “consent farm” tactics may result in MASSIVE penalties.

But what is a consent farm anyway?
