The National Consumer Law Center (“NCLC”) advocates day and night to Congress and the FCC for a broader TCPA and more lawsuits.
Unsurprisingly, they make MILLIONS off of these lawsuits–all while claiming to represent “low income consumers.”
Gross.
Just Friday a Court in North Carolina approved a distribution to the NCLC totaling over $2.2MM.
The case is Krakauer v. Dish Network, LLC, 2024 WL 1349496 (M.D. N.C. March 29, 2024.)
Meanwhile, Responsible Enterprises Against Consumer Harassment (R.E.A.C.H.) did not receive any funding– DESPITE ITS INCREDIBLE EFFECTINESS– and must continue its mission of stopping billions of unwanted robocalls on a shoe string budget. Makes no sense.
But the Plaintiff’s bar keeps funneling money to the NCLC to keep it rich, while good small businesses take the punishment of frivolous lawsuits.
