A few quick late-breaking TCPAWorld developments:
- Our awesome, fast-growing, and extremely compliance/consumer-oriented client loanDepot entered the big leagues today with a splendid National commercial message played during the NBA finals. What an amazing outfit. Really deserving of their incredible success. I took a quick totally-off-the-cuff selfie. (Yeah, I need a phone with a real camera):
- Dennis Brown–author of that incredible TCPA book I devoured over the weekend–reached out with admiration tonight: “I really should have given TCPA World an extra special mention [in the book], because there’s no other resource that is as useful and current as this site. My research relied mostly on primary sources (court documents, transcripts, FCC proceedings) and news stories, but I always checked here each day as I was completing the book to make sure that I wasn’t missing any new developments.” Talk about high praise. I’m speechless.
- Consumer Attorney Bryan Reo keeps reaching out to me because he really wants you to know that his client J.E. Shelton–also not mentioned in the TCPA book– is seeking contempt and special sanctions against a TCPA defendant and an (allegedly) wayward lawyer that is (allegedly) continuing to fail to comply with court orders. Dear Bryan: I see your emails. But there is no ruling on your motions yet. So that’s why I’m not reporting on this.
