So entirely done with law firms that use GenAi to do their work and thinking or them.
When an attorney submits a brief including GenAI mistakes that lawyer shouldn’t just be sanctioned– they should be disbarred.
I’m serious. If you are lazy/dumb enough to use GenAI to do what your client is PAYING YOU TO DO then you have completely failed in your respknsibilties as a lawyer as far as I am concerned. You are not worthy to be an attorney.
So let’s add Andrew Dietderich, co-head of Sullivan & Cromwell’s restructuring division to that list.
Per CNN this clown had to submit a letter to the court identifying 40 SEPARATE ERRORS in a submission.
40.
Guys.
40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you submit a brief with 40 mistakes in it???????
GenAI is a failure engine. It does NOTHING for lawyers. If you are using it–again– you deserve to be disbarred.
“We deeply regret that this has occurred” Dietderich wrote.
You should deeply regret your trash law firm decided to deploy untested garbage AI tools.
I read the full letter– you can head it here Pathetic Apology Letter— and it is a weak ass apology.
In the letter he basically claims the firm has high stndards and training for GenAi usage–two “modules” people have to complete– so they should be forgiven.
Garbage.
Truly ELITE law firms like Troutman Amin, LLP COMPLETELY BAN the use of GenAi because it is truly useless in connection with the practice of law.
A complete abdication of the responsibilities of attorneys.
And just to show how insanely widepsread this poison is, the Biedterich’s errors were caught by opposing counsel Boies Schiller Flexner.
Guess what?
Boies Schiller Flexner was just ITSELF SANCTIONED in February for using GenAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It takes a fraud to catch a fraud I guess.
Catch a clue– FORBID ANY LAW FIRM YOU WORK WITH FROM USING GEN AI OR HIRE TROUTMAN AMIN, LLP LIKE SMART COMPANIES ACROSS THE NATION ARE DOING DAILY!!!

I agree 1000% they should be dis-barred*
Now you’re gonna love this…a site based in England (built with AI?!) is cataloging the latest twist -say it ain’t so- The AI Firm Index
“A new category of “AI-native” legal practice is emerging – whether new entrants or dedicated units in established firms. While the definition is still evolving, this project lists them in one place.” Some being backed by the Tech Bro/VC Mafia in SV…
https://aifirmindex.com/
Some high points (hell, what could go wrong!?):
“Launched with 130+ senior partners and zero junior lawyers. Uses Harvey AI to replace the associate layer entirely, combining senior expertise with AI for cost-effective full-service legal work.”
“Brief-drafting boutique; currently leverages Claude for drafting briefs at 1/3 BigLaw fees, with a proprietary system in development” (but we’ll still sell you while in dev!!)
“Software company that launched a law firm that closes commercial real estate loan transactions”
“Backed by deeptech VC Anzu Partners — the firm grew out of the fund itself rather than raising a traditional round. Offers flat-fee corporate and IP legal services for startups and research institutions, using AI to reduce costs and speed up delivery.”
“Automated legal services for startups and growth companies; operating in US and expanding to UK”
*WTH, unrelated to AI (or is it?) might as well disbar that paper mill scumbag plaintiff ‘atty’ Jabreal ($20K) Jabroni in FL while you’re at it, say aren’t ethics a thing anymore!?!?
