So remember how I’ve been teasing that BIG news I wasn’t allowed to talk about?
Well now you know what it is.
One of the biggest names in data privacy just teamed up with one of the nation’s premier consumer class litigation shops–i.e. this one–to form the dreaded super team.
(I mean, dreaded for our opponents. Not dreaded for you.)
Alan Friel, who’s lengthy experience and spectacular tenure heading up BakerHostetler’s (now why is that all one word?) US Consumer privacy practice have earned him nationwide recognition, just joined Squire Patton Boggs’ Los Angeles office to work alongside the Czar as we continue our efforts to defend and protect the Firm’s data privacy clients.
I mean obviously this is huge. Squire has essentially set out to dominate the privacy litigation space ever since I joined the firm two years ago now. With the launch of consumerprivacyworld.com last year it was clear that the Firm had tremendous momentum and now– this. A stunning message-sending “get” establishing Squire as THE premier data privacy and class action litigation team.
The story is making waves all over the legal news sites–I love how law360 lead off by referring to our team as “diverse” and championing equality–and for good reason. This must be the biggest lateral move in the data privacy and litigation space in 2021.
I wonder if I had anything to do with it? 😉
Look, Squire is absolutely crushing in this space right now and I know all you other privacy litigators out there are feeling a bit nervous. And you should be. And that’s ok to admit. But if you can’t beat us, why not JOIN US?
Give us a call and see if you can join this tremendous machine to help us continue providing outstanding defense and protection for our (and your) clients.
And, of course, if you’re a business with consumer data privacy legal needs–and what business isn’t?–especially here in California give us a shout. We already have Lydia de La Torre–just one of California’s 20 best cyber attorneys-– some guy named the Czar, that other guy Elliot Golding who is just a genius, that other guy Keith Bradley who used to work at something called the CFPB and was a supreme court clerk, oh and did I mention the ENTIRE TCPA royal court and that itty bitty LITIGATION MONSTER comprised of the CPW team?
And now we have Alan–and I suspect he’ll have a few members of his team around shortly as well– to help run this apparatus.
My goodness. What a remarkable thing to be a part of.
I know the TCPAWorld faithful are bound to have some questions about what Alan brings to the table and how you can leverage his experience. Give me a buzz and we can set up some meetings. And don’t worry I’ll be introducing Alan to all of you through a webinar or podcast shortly.
Keep winning TCPAWorld.
